After the announcement yesterday that MTC Namibia would be sponsoring Namibian Hockey over a 3 year period to the tune of N$ 3 million Namibian Dollars, Hockey again got some more great news when the NHU circulated communication to their Council Members, that they got the green light from the Namibia Sports Commission to resume practices, matches and leagues, under the strict Stage 4 guidelines.
The communication read as follows:
Dear Clubs,
Good news! We got the go ahead from the Namibia Sports Commission to resume practices, matches and leagues, under the guidelines we submitted. Please read the attached guidelines carefully and apply them where applicable.
These are unprecedented times and we need to implement and monitor COVID-19 precautionary and protocol measures at all hockey activities in order to mitigate, supress and reduce the further spread of the coronavirus.
Law enforcement officers might arrive at your venue to monitor and assess if the guidelines are being applied and adhered to. Please keep a copy of the guidelines with you and engage with them in a friendly manner. For any assistance in this regard, please call one of the officers whose numbers are listed at the end of the guidelines document (in red).
Everyone’s cooperation in this regard is required and we wish for a safe return to hockey.
Kind regards
Jen
On behalf of SAINTS EXCO and members we salute NHU for their huge drive to make Hockey Great Again. GOD BLESS
